For many years, I would make the trek from Roy to Seattle to visit Duane at University Book Store. Duane would have all the special order books ready for signing. We'd talk books and maybe go to lunch and it was always a wonderful break from my regular routine.
But sadly Duane is no longer there, and the traffic between Roy and Seattle can make what used to be a 40 minute drive into a three hour trudge. So I had to give that up. No more fun.
I still received many requests from readers for signed books.
Now my friend Shawn Speakman has stepped up to fill the gap. He has long had a site called The Signed Page, featuring autographed books from many fantasy and SF authors. Terry Brooks! Matt Dinniman!
