Lovely New French Editions!

New Covers for the JaiLu editions of The Rain Wild Chronicles.  Art by Alice Peronnet.

And here they all are, in all their glory.  French publisher J'ai Lu has reissued the Rain Wild Chronicles with gorgeous new covers.  The art is by Alice Peronnet.  If you'd like to see more of Alice's work, find it on Instagram as AkuMimpi.

I am so thrilled with these new editions, and I'm confident readers will enjoy them, too.

No SDCC for me in 2026 (Comic Con International)

Just a quick announcement.  I'm disappointed to say that circumstances will keep me away from San Diego Comic Con, also know as Comic-Con Internatinal this year.

I had planned to go, but sometimes schedule clashes happen.

So, as people have already asked, it's not a health problem.  Simply that there is a schedule conflict.

I will be at both World Con and World Fantasy Con!

And of course, I will still be at the Pike Street Seattle Barnes and Noble grand opening on May 6!

So I will hpe to see readers at those other events.

A fine selection of pens for signing books!

Mark May 6th 2026 on your calendars, Seattle.  A new Barnes and Noble  bookstore will be opening  at 520 Pike Street.  I'm very excited to be there to sign your books, old and new!

I will be cutting the ribbon to let you in!  Kat and I are planning some fun giveaways to celebrate!  In a time of book bannings, every new book store that opens is a cause for celebration!
