The Rain Wild Chronicles get New Covers

The Rain Wild Chronicles get new covers!

We all wish I were a better photographer!  But, after many years, there they are, in Trade Paperback format, The Rain Wild Chronicles and with the same covers that Harper Collins used in the UK.

Here is the long tale!

In England and the rest of the UK, all of the Realm of the Elderlings books (ROTE) that includesall the Fitz and Liveship books were published by Harper Collins.  So when the trade paperbacks were issued, they all had lovely matching covers.

In the US, ALMOST all the ROTE books were published by Penguin Random House (or the Random Penguins as Kat and I fondly call them.)  All, except the Rain Wild Chronicles.  Those were published by Harper Collins in the US.  And for many years, they had covers with lovely art but it was very different from the US books.

Then the Random Penguins decided to use the same cover art as the UK editions, so again, all the ROTE books had matching covers EXCEPT The Rain Wild Chronicles.

Well, recently Harper Collins in the US decided to also use the lovely UK covers.  So now, if you like all your books to match and look stunning on your shelves, you can have all the books of the Realm of the Elderlings in trade paperback editions with matching covers.

I can't tell you how pleased I am by this.  It's something I've hoped for, literally for years!

So.  Nothing but vast satisfaction tonight as I look at these.
