Signing my Way across the UK

Well, I think I’m about midway through my visit. Earlier today, we were at Birmingham.  Tonight I have a sold out event at Oxford.  Tomorrow is Reading, and then Bath.  I’m looking forward to some time with artist Jackie Morris tomorrow; some books will be signed by both of us!   Saturday will find me at Plymouth.  Then, after a bit of a break on Sunday, I’m off to Sweden!  On Tuesday the 9th, I’ll visit The English Bookshop in Stockholm, and then SF Bokhandeln in Gothenburg.

It’s a busy schedule, but I’m greatly enjoying meeting readers.

In a few bookstores, we’ve sadly run out of books.  But I’ve done my best to leave signed bookplates, and where I could, signed books for readers to find later.

At Forbidden Planet in London, we had our readers queuing outside in the misty rain and chill.  To everyone who toughed it out, thank you.  I was glad to stay past 8 and sign as many books as I could.  Unfortunately, we had to cap the queue, so not everyone was able to get in.  And I did have to do a ‘speed signing’ with little chance to chat or do special inscriptions.  Thanks so much to everyone who was so kind about that.  To the woman who showed me a lovely rendition of Fitz’s earring, I am so sorry I did not get your name or have much time to admire your work.  My glimpse of it was lovely! I would love if you could share a photo of it on Twitter or Facebook and tag me so I could have more time to look at it!

Well, it’s time to freshen up for my Oxford visit!  On we go!
