Ask Me Anything . . . Tomorrow on Reddit/books

Tomorrow, at 3 PM, you will see me offer a post on reddit/books, inviting you to Ask Me Anything.

Most of you are probably very familiar with Reddit and with the Ask Me Anything format. But for anyone who isn’t, here’s a thumbnail sketch.

I will make a post about 3 PM, telling a bit about myself and inviting readers to Ask Me Anything. You can post questions immediately. AT 5 PM, I will return and begin answering them. I will answer as many as I can for 2 to 3 hours, which is about as long as I can type at one stretch anymore!

I’m happy to answer questions about writing and writing decision, writing while holding down a full time job and being a parent, and other topics related to the books.

I always avoid spoilers and ask that people posing questions including spoilers block out the bits that new readers might not want to see. There are easy instructions on reddit for how to do this.

If you would, check the FAQ on this site to avoid asking questions I’ve answered a hundred times before. Such as, “Why do you write under two names?”

In all honesty, I probably can’t give good advice on how to ‘break in’ to being a published writer these days. My experience of becoming published is decades old now, and wow, have things changed!

Reddit books is for readers of all stripes, all genres and all backgrounds and ages. I anticipate a very interesting time.

Sorry, comments are closed for this post.
