Publication Dates for City of Dragons, Blood of Dragons

I’ve had a few queries about publication dates for City of Dragons and Blood of Dragons.

So, to be absolutely clear: In the US, City of Dragons in will be available in hardback in February of 2012.  This is also when I’ll be doing the book tour to launch it.  Blood of Dragons is scheduled for May 1, 2013.

In the UK, City of Dragons is scheduled for April 2012, and Blood of Dragons will come out on May 1, 2013.

So, there you are!

  1. Hello there! I am a Canadian reader, and have been waiting for what seems like forever for City of Dragons to be available!!! Your a wonderful writer, I admire all of your work. Would love to get an autograph, are there any Canadian stops scheduled in your tour?? Perhaps in Alberta 🙂 ?

  2. Good day,

I would like to be notified – if possible –
when Dragon Keeper, Dragon Heaven and then… will be translated/published in Greece.

    Thank you ,

  3. Hi Dora!

I’m trying to be more active in posting updates on translations. So if/when we have Greek editions forthcoming, I’ll post it here!

    Thanks for being interested.

  4. Paperbacks are usually released about a year after the hardcovers come out. But that isn’t a hard and fast rule, just an approximation. Thanks for asking!

  5. Oh no, I’ve got to wait till April as I live in the UK. I love the covers we get here otherwise I’d order from US Amazon in February. Actually, maybe I’ll do just that, buy both copies, read the US edition in February and buy the UK one in April. I don’t mind giving you extra royalties Robin!

  6. A message for Tim

Hi Tim! I didn’t post your comment as it would be a spoiler for people who hadn’t yet read Dragon Keeper.

And to answer your query in that regard would be a huge spoiler for the whole set of books.

So sorry! I’m afraid you’ll have to wait, and then read and find out!

    Best wishes,

  7. Cripes, a little depressing to learn it’s April 2012 in the UK – I had it in my head it was February! Oh well.

Even more depressing to learn Blood of Dragons will be May 2013. Robin, I don’t want to alarm you, but i’ll be perilously close to my 29th birthday by then – which is far too close to the dreaded 30 😉

  8. Yay! I am so excited to read City of Dragons. I just got done staying up all night to finish Dragon Haven and spent a few very late nights rushing through Dragon Keeper before that. They were the first books I’ ve read by you and all I can say is “Wow!”. These are the best books I’ve read in a long time. I will be reading all your other books while I wait for the new ones. Thank you for writing such good stories.

  9. I love this series of books, picked up the first one as My name is Tamara and I love a place in the uk called Tintagel for its connection with dragons!!

I’ve been drawing them for a few years now xx love the connection xx

  10. I am thrilled. You are an amazing author! I have read the Assassin Trilogy, The Mad Ship Trilogy & have been waiting to continue The Rain Wild Series.
I am also currently searching for the Fools Series.
Please do not stop writing. Our children need inspiration for our future. Thank you
