<description>A late Happy Birthday to Ilaria.

I very much enjoyed meeting you and our time together. And thank you for the information on the books that have been translated.
I hope that we will start to see more writers translated into English for American readers. I think that one way for different peoples to understand one another is to share stories, both old and new.

Thank you again!

		<description>Hi!
I’m Martina Frammartino from Milan. I’m sorry for my english, I read english books but, as you remember, I can’t talk english, and I can’t write english very well.
Thank’s for your “the questions were intelligent and interesting ones”. I am very happy and very proud for the opportunity to talk with you, I love your books and now I like you as Margaret Lindholm and not only as a famous writer.
In the 2005 I go to another bookshop to meet Robert Jordan, and I know Jim Rigney, a very extraordinary man. Last week, it is the same wonderful experience with you. I’m sorry only because I cant stay with you, Sara and Chiara only a few time, but my little babies needs their mother.

You are interested in Italian books? The most famous writer, obviously, is J.K. Rowling. Very famous are Terry Brooks and George R.R. Martin (terrific!), published by Mondadori, the biggest Italian publisher. Other writer published by Mondadori are Neil Gaiman, Ursula K. Le Guin with the Earthsea’s Saga, Robert Howard’s Conan adventures, Stan Nicholls, Robert Holdstock Mitago’s Saga, Sergej Luk’janenko and the Italian Licia Troisi. Mondadori’s writer of science fiction are Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, William Gibson and Dan Simmons.
The most important publisher for fantasy books is Fanucci. Fanucci published your novels, Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time (terrific), Terry Goodkind, Naomi Novik, Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn Series (for me Sanderson’s books are terrific, he is translated only because he is writing the end of The Wheel of Time’s saga), Greg Keyes, Patrick Rothfuss, Philip K. Dick, Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere, Jude Fisher, Andreas Eschbach.
Armenia published Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman and the Dragonlance series, R.A. Salvatore and the Forgotten Realms series, Steven Erikson and a few of Deutsch writer.
Nord published Trudi Canavan, Jacqueline Carey, Cecilia Darth-Thornton, Markus Heitz, Alan Campbell, Scott Lynch, Andrej Sapkowski.
Marion Zimmer Bradley is published by Longanesi and Tea, J.R.R. Tolkien by Bompiani, Stephen King by Sperling &amp; Kupfer, Jonathan Stroud by Salani, Charlaine Harris by Delos Books.
David Gemmell, David Eddings, Orson Scott Card, Michael Moorcock, Lois McMasters Bujold, Anne McCaffrey, Guy Gavriel Kay (very terrific), Harry Turtledove and Katharine Kerr are out of print.
The antologies aren’t translated. Perhaps I will read Warriors in English, I’ve read a few of very impressive reviews.

It is very difficult for me to write. Sorry for my errors. Now I will return to my little Ilaria, whose first birthday was yesterday.
Bye
